Les Mielles Golf Club celebrated a number of success stories during 2007. Check below for details!

In the Ladies Section, Isobel Brocken won The Hoskins Cup away in Alderney & Mary Marr became the first Les Mielles Ladies Member to win the Ladies Golf Association Read Trophy as Bronze Division Champion in the Summer - she then qualified and went on to win the Channel Islands Bronze Division Championship - You did the Ladies proud Mary!

The Les Mielles Ladies course record was smashed to an impressive Gross 71 during
the Open Tournament in June by Royal Jersey Member Olivia
Jordan-Higgins, who also took the Griffiths Memorial Trophy.

Les Mielles Golf Club Gents Member Tom Park successfully won the Norman Rumball Memorial Trophy held
at home at Les Mielles, coming in with a fantastic 42 points during the Summer

Will Golder has just returned from a highly successful trip to Germany
to compete in the Army Junior Championships as Driver in the 2 Man
Bobsleigh. Will and his brakeman won the event and now go on to enter
the Bobsleigh Army Championships in February which are being held in
Austria, followed by the British Bobsleigh Championships during 2008 -

Crue Elliott, - Burnham Beeches GC, won the PGA Tournament at Les
Mielles in October in blistering fashion, and set a new course record
of an amazing 60. The local Chatsworth Team won the Amateur Event.

Steve Chapman successfully won the Australian Amputee Golf Open in the
Spring of ’07 in Australia as well as becoming the first golfer to have
his name put on the newly sponsored “Ford C.I. Hole-in¬one Honours
Board” at Les Mielles - well done Steve!
The Anthony Nolan Trust will be hosting the 2008 Splash for Cash on
Bank Holiday Monday 25th August this coming year...and will be asking
for support with their new golfing challenge to raise funds to provide
lifesaving donors for leukaemia patients in need of bone marrow
transplants.
